I would really love to have the whole Bettie Paige bang thing going on, and people tell me I would look good in bangs. But I just don't know, because I have a very round face with big cheeks, big eyes, big lips, and a huge forehead. Usually gals with slimmer faces can pull it off better, that's why I am afraid. I had bangs once (not the bettie kind) but I really don't remember if I liked them or what.
So I have included some pictures here and if you would like to judge more, please click to my page. And please be honest. I have had more bad hair-cuts than you could imagine. THANK YOU!!!!!!
Remember that it's just hair, and it will grow back. That's the great thing about hair, you can do whatever you want, try all new things, and if you don't like it, you can change it!
oh sweetie, i have the same round face big ckeeks and lip eye combo - and i love my bangs (they are crying out for a trim right now!)! I do a "V" shape into them too sometimes and sometimes a straight across. i find that it actually accentuates my features in a good way (especially the "V").
Bottom line is that bangs are the easiest thing to grow out if youre not 100% happy with them(this is why i never leave the house without a few bobypins tucked into my purse!)! And if you have a lovely hairdresser then she will chop them long and shorten them bit by bit for you just incase!
YES! Do it! Just make sure that you have a lot of hair cut into the bangs, this look doesnt work unless you pull hair from further back on your head. Go to a very trusted stylist and bring a photo. If you are going to cut yourself, use sharp shears and make swift cuts (if you cut too slowly it can get funky). Always cut a lil at a time, so it leavves you room to clean it up without cutting too much. Last but not least, if you cut too much and they are crooked....just wait a week and comb them over in the meantime. Good Luck!
if you want to try it out first have a look at this this is how i do mine and you can use it to see if weather you like them. but as the other said it all grows back
