oh lord!
My dream is to be a pinup model, but there is one problem.I'M WAY TO CAMERA SHY. Yesterday i had a friend of mine take pictures of me for practice and i fell blank.A lot of you ladies on here are gorgeous and take amazing pictures so any tips on overcoming this shyness and poses. Being the that I'm not the skinnest girl of my friends I guess i feel kinda of insecure but I know that size doesn't matter!

I'm glad, and I hope you go for it! As Roxy mentioned, be careful if you're going to a shoot alone. Make sure you've had enough conversation with the photographer to feel comfortable around him/her, and make it clear that someone you know is waiting in the wings, whether it be by the phone at home, waiting in the car or at a nearby location killing time, etc. Even better if there's a wardrobe stylist or make-up/hair person also present at the shoot, so you feel less vulnerable :)
It can be overwhelming to model at first, but you can always make it more fun for yourself... bring a good friend, make a mix of your favorite music, stuff to relax you and make you feel good, and have wardrobe you feel confident in (if you're excited to put it on and it makes you feel sexy, then half the work is done!) AND, we've all watched America's Next Top Model, listen to the advice, practice in front of the mirror, you'll be a lot more at ease if you've figured out how you think you look best.

And I agree with Roxy, if you can afford it, shoot with Ama. The woman is amazing. I've done 3 shoots myself with her and they're always a blast.

And remember, you always have PL there for support! Good luck!
I definitely agree with Raquelle!! I have a very close friend who's a photographer, and I've done two photo shoots with her to expand her portfolio, and I cannot tell you how AWKWARD and UNCOMFORTABLE I look in those photos!! I couldn't for the life of me even try to be sexy (or even be myself, really, which I guess is weird) in front of a friend who's known me for close to ten years. And to top it off, she wasn't comfortable giving me direction either!

While I do do DO encourage having someone there with you that you trust when you work with a new photographer for the first time, maybe you can ask them to sit in the next room when it comes time for the sexy poses :)
