Tonight I decided to put together a Halloween playlist for tomorrow and wondered what everyone's top ten halloween tunes are ?
I know there is a wealth of good spooky material out there in the Rockabilly, psychobilly, punk scenes. So here's a starter for 10...

Monster Mash - Bobby "Boris" Pickett
Bela Lugosi's Dead - Bauhaus
I Was A Teenage Werewolf - The Cramps
Halloween - The Misfits
Wait For The Blackout - The Damned
The Flying Purple People Eater - Sheb Wooley
My Daddy Is A Vampire - The Meteors
Release The Bats - The Birthday Party
Do The Zombie - The Eyeliners
Munsters / Addams Family theme Tunes

You also can't go wrong with some Gregorian Chants on Halloween !!

Well have a good one all.

A friend of mine puts together a 2-CD set of tunes every Halloween, based on whatever that year's party theme is. And from year to year, he never repeats a song. I don't know how he does it! In 2006, the theme was simply "Halloween Horrors," and here are some of his 40 choices for that year (genre is not a consideration):

Devil's Party -- INXS
Let's Go See Mr. Hyde -- Happyhead
The Boogie Monster -- Gnarls Barkley
As Ugly As I Seem -- The White Stripes
Meat Hook -- The Cure
Bone Machine -- The Pixies
Evil and a Heathen -- Franz Ferdinand
Midnight Hour -- Ray Charles
Pads, Paws and Claws -- Elvis Costello
Severed Hand -- Pearl Jam
Little Miss Strange -- The Jimi Hendrix Experience
Buried Alive -- Echo & The Bunnymen
Dead Heaven -- Gary Numan
Wish You Dead -- Curve
Skeleton -- Helium
Black Heart -- Calexico
Fear -- Disturbed
The Beast In Me -- Johnny Cash
Shiver -- Coldplay
Baby Let Me Scream At You -- Adam Ant
Bed of Nails -- Hüsker Dü
Haunted -- Evanescence
Burning the Midnight Oil -- Dolly Parton

Ah yes... we're going back in time. They were always the coolest, though.
