This is such a small community. Why are some models so rude and snotty? They don't seem to realize that the average looking guy might be the one who could give them their big break. If you are rude to one person, that person is going to tell everyone he or she knows about you and how unpleasant you are. And it's girls from California that are the biggest offenders.
And on a side note, getting hammered at sponsored events where you are a participant is not a good idea!

So true!! There should be a reminder about this for those people that get a bit big for their britches.

LOL (Snort)! That reminds me of someone telling me "street smart" is "pretend smart"!
I don't understand it either, ESPECIALLY in a small community where word spreads like wildfire! Maybe because I was raised differently? lol My parents instilled 'old school' values in me like respecting others and having manners to name a few. ( I don't know why these ideals have gone out the window these days!) Things are so much different out here in California the caliber of people is definitely sub-par compared to back home (not necessarily in the pinup community but California as a whole) people seem to be more rude and judgemental out here. It definitely took some getting used to.

Honestly they are just shootin' themselves in the foot if they act in such a way. Unfortunately we may have bad experiences with rude snotty people but it's best to take it with a grain of salt, move on & meet more good hearted genuine people because there are plenty!

Oh and I totally agree about the getting hammered thing, I would NEVER. It is like drinking on the job. I wouldn't get smashed at my day job so if I am out working and representing another company by modeling etc. why would I get hammered then? To me it is work all the same and no one wants to be represented by a sloppy drunk 'lady' lol ;)
I like you, Timebomb! If I see you at Ink n Iron I'll come over and say hi!

:( Why you gotta hate on California? Maybe it just has to do with the geographic distribution of members (i.e. more of them here).
I was born and raised here in California, and many of the people that move here to "become stars" have an attitude of needing to claw their way to the top and step on everyone they can. It's unfortunate, because I know a lot of people in the movie and television industry, and it seems like a lot of the more successful ones are ok. It's so sad that some of the girls here (in pinup-NOT on PL) think that backstabbing and pettiness will get them anywhere but kicked out the door.

Hmm... well, you're in LA, and I can't say I was too enthused about the social atmosphere when I lived there either. I think up in NorCal people are often really nice and mellow, though. San Francisco people are amazing - it's a big city where you can lose your wallet and somehow magically get it back with cash, credit, and gift cards all intact. I mean, not always, sure, but I've basically done it twice.
Northern California is a different world from SoCal! I would love to live up there.

I never met any RUDE models,so far, everyone has been really cool and yes ALL from Cali! And even if they were rude i probly did not noticed it,because i really don't care, in my mind i just laugh, because i have more important things to be worried about. There are rude people everywhere PERIOD. That is rude to pick on C.A, I love southern California and I am very proud to live here where it's sunny and warm pretty much all the time! so that is a load of CRAP that we are the biggest offenders, you just had a bad run in with certain chicks. I am one of the coolest chick you could ever meet and i am always grateful and never rude or stuck up, i am always so flattered when people want to take photos of me or with me or want to work w/me, i guess i am humble cali gal! so when i do come across a rude model she better just move out of my way! don't have time for no B.S!
I must also agree!!!
