honestly.. so much of my stuff comes from thrift stores or 'garbage' piles as it seems.. I have found AMAZING treasures.. vintage fabric, vintage designer jewelry, rare and out of print band t's, super expensive stuff (a $600 leather jacket for $20 bucks), you name it.. I'm down with thrift store diving!!
at my boys work there is allways a free bin and i rescue clothes from it alot! check these out!

Ive rescued a few things from spring cleaning, thrift stores, a whole loads of furniture. my couch was recycled thru 3 owners from my gma, leather couch cream, beautiful. I have a dress I got for free. whole bunch of things. I love it. :)
Well, I've always liked thrift shopping...dumpster diving not so much. But the punks I lived with in Vancouver sure loved it..in fact that's how they'd get their dinner..ew. But clothing is alright as long as it's not too dirty or covered in garbage. I like the free boxes that people would put out on their yards in Vancouver, you could find find books, clothes, videos, etc. They don't really do that in Toronto. : (
Anyway here's an article about thrift shopping if you're interested. http://www.nowtoronto.com/news/story.cfm?content=173635

I love reconstructing clothes!
