hey ladies, can you help me add some life into my boring hair?? it's mid back length, and dirty dishwater blonde. it's fine texture but thick (lots of it). it's all one length and no layers or bangs. the boyfriend really doesnt want me to cut it length wise so I am thinking either maybe some bangs or color. I have to stay fairly conservative because I work in a conservative office. I really really like the streaks some ladies have on here in the front because it really makes the rolls *pop*.

Anyone have suggestions?

hmmm... not really thrilled about how it turned out. i think i picked a shade too close to my natural color. it doesnt POP like i want it to. it's still a nice color though and i am tempted to do it all over since its a temporary color.

I dye mine underneath so I can hide my fun color when I have to look like a "responsible adult". That way, when I put it up or curl it, the color shows. My black is dyed, too, but it's high maintenance- I have to do roots every 2 weeks since I'm such a light blonde. Even when I was blonde, I dyed the underneath various colors and then black. I didn't have to worry about roots when the black was underneath and under my bangs.
ULTA has pretty nice human hair clip-ins. They're about $8 unless there's a sale or coupon, but it's worth the money since synthetic hair gets so snaggly and isn't always a believable texture. It can be straightened, heat styled, or wet set better than synthetic hair. Also, you can redye them if you want more intense color. I have blue, red, green, and purple. I dyed more over my red and purple with some semi-permanent dyes to get the colors a bit darker.
If you place them just right, no one will be able to tell it's a clip-in streak, and you won't have to commit to anything long-term. Go get yourself some! ;)
I think the brand is easilites, and you can get them online, too.
I'm such a dingbat- I just looked at the pic- very nice!
Don't you love dye?! I was so happy after I changed my color. :)

Precisely!
hahaha
Nice widow's peak, by the way. :) Wish I could buy one of those! Instead, I have a weird sideways cowlick on one side... but I make it work. :)
Claire's Hair Accessory Boutique in the mall has some great (also cheap) real hair clips. and they are at least 14 inches long and come in a variety of colors. Temporary fun without work drama or hair drama =))
too late on the suggestion...hahahaha
there are a lot of those strips you can get at most accessory stores. they are very narrow and thin though so you wont be able to do too much with them. i have the two bright red and two berry red strips.

i gotta ask... why the heck would you want a widows peak? arent they like... uncool?? lol
