Pinup Looks in Modern Pop Culture

Has anyone else caught a look at the video where Beyonce is made to look like a pinup- a'la Bettie Page?
It reminds me of Christina Aguilera's short-lived pinup image.

I know it p***** some people off when subcultures are picked up as a mainstream fad, but I just look at it as good things on clearance racks waiting to happen in the near future.

 

Anyone else find any good ones? Videos, pictures, anything mainstream that's inspired by the retro/pin up scene, post 'em up!

Can you post the video? I'd love to see it. There are a ton of those videos out there, I love seeing our sub culture brought out to the mainstream, that just means more shopping for us. Then it goes under again and hey, we benefited.

If you Google image search her name with pinup, a lot of images come up. I think it went along with her "Candyman" song.
I'm pretty oblivious to pop culture, but I did notice these. ;)

I just watched all of those videos-it turns out I had seen the My Chemical Romance one. The Sean Kingston video is really cute. Gwen Stefani has been incorporating retro elements into her look since the beginning to varying degrees.

Thanks Dana, but I was hoping for the Beyonce video, wasn't sure what one you were talking about. As for Christina, yep all that was from the Candyman era. We used to have a whole tread on it. lol. If you can find any more videos to post that would be great. This was a great idea for a thread.

I really liked Christina Aguilera in her pin-up phase. I thought it really suited her, but I suppose I'm biased as I think any woman can look beautiful like that! I just wish it hadn't been so short lived; she seemed truly dedicated to the look when she released her 'Back To Basics' album, but, alas, it was all for media hype.
