Now, I'm only a beginner in the photography-field, and I still have a long way to go to master both techniques and the camera, so I haven't really tried out that many different fields to work within. I have, however, developed a love towards live concert-shots. I have a good eye for it, and from a single stage you get a lot of differnt light to work with without having to give it much thought, and if you shoot a band you have a lot of different people on stage to work with.

There's usually alot of action on stage so I usually get a good shot or two, which will encurage me to keep trying, even on a bad day. People who sing and play also display alot of emotion, which i really like to capture. Being from a small town I also find it to be a nice way of supporting other local artists. I get to practice, and they get to use my pictures for free if they give me credit.

If I decide to make more of this I might be interrested in doing fashion-shots, but it hasn't really been on my mind up until recently.

Whats your favourite thing to photograph?

I personally like shooting sports ( cycling) the most. I also love taking photo's of old hot rods. The thing about shooting cars is finding new angles to shoot em' at. I find myself using my 15mm ( slight fisheye) when I shoot the cars, it has a really cool effect on them ... check out my photo's .....
I'm starting to get back into portraits so I'm gonna shoot a series about retro house wife's that have a demented side to them. They'll have the sweet and innocent look of a pin-up with some kinda of dark secret behind...... Shooting bands sounds cool but here in LA it's hard to get a camera in the clubs..... I got a point and shoot into a Nekromantix's show and got some cool stuff( I'll upload very soon) . Keep on shootin' .................Rob
I'm into cars, I love action shots and very close up artistic shots. Pair it up with a hot model and I have all the motivation I need to get artistic! I haven't even begun to get into lighting yet, I know a great deal about it from working in a TV studio setting up lighting but its so much different to be mobile and build a set around a vehicle.
i love taking pics of live bands too, although i find it both exhauting and frustrating sometimes. my two biggest pet hates are moving lights and smoke machines *haha*

i really like doing portraits, and also taking photographs of urban decay (abandoned buildings and the like). i'm currently learning the art of taking photographs of moving cars too, since my boy and i are car freaks and we're always down at the speedway or at some car show or another.
What I prefer and what I shoot the most is very different. I love landscapes. urban, rural, woods, barns, grave yards. Man works so hard to make a particular ascetic in things, and when it starts to decay, it gives me a since of the limitations we have. My mother got me in to it shooting old grave yards and barns. She called it "the death of beauty". Also, older people who lived hard lives in black and white. Color distracts us, and you can bring out a great deal of emotion and sometimes, some of the soul of the person you shoot. Youth (and I am young, so I dont have much room to speak here) have not had enough hardship alot of the time to capture something breath taking, but I have seen photos of people who have see hell, and the images brought so much emotion in to the viewer. Thats what I like. impact.

I tend to shoot the young pretties though, lol. Cant say I don't love it, it is fun indeed and it is easy. That and the look on the models face when she sees her photos is worth all the time i spent.
