Grandparents

I was thinking today about how my Gramz was an original Rockabilly. She was only 38 when I was born and she was a teenage parent. She wore the clothes, listened to the music, dated the greaser boys (and got knocked up by one, my grandpa! lol) rode in the cars and later drove them. Sadly, I do not have any pictures of Gramz as a young lady just memories of her stories but if anyone else has a pictures of any original "greaser" grandparents or any pre 1950's too and you can scan and post them, that would be really cool too see!!

My grandma wasn't rockabilly, but she was a pin up girl! I wish I had a scanner so I could post some pix. Great idea for a thread Lisa, you get a cookie!

I know what ya mean Lisa. My granny dated a greaser too lol & he played guitar & bass in a lil rock n roll band too lol and they had the cars. i'm still in search for the pictures too, my relative wont hand em over to me tho! grrr! but im still trying to get a hold of them!

My mom's parents were pretty square I think... but my dad's parents have some of the cutest pictures! I painted one...
