Flesh Stockings

Hiya. Im posting this to ask for some advice...

My boyfriends gran gave me a full carrier bag of stockings her brother sent her from Italy during world war 2. None of them have ladders or holes in them and they feel so soft! Most of them even have the seam up the back and a few are slightly patterned but my problem is they are mostly flesh coloured or light brown and now that i've got them home Im not sure how to wear them. I feel like not wearing them would be such a shame but I've literally never worn flesh coloured tights or stockings! So can anyone offer any tips on what sort of skirts, dresses or shoes look good with these sorts of stockings? Thanks for any tips!

I only wear flesh colored stockings, mostly "cuban heeled" style with a reinforced foot, and seem up the back. I wear them with all my vintage and reproductions if I am wearing a closed toe pump. I wear an open bottomed girdle that has garters to hold them up. I have one pair of peep toed pumps I also wear with the stockings. Wearing cuban heeled stockings with sling back, sandles, or a big open toe is a no-no, in my opinion. I also think colored hose is a bit 80s looking, and perhaps because I'm older, I am not comfortable. I prefer the flesh colored.

I'd say you can wear the flesh coloured ones with anything really!...it just gives the impression of you having bare legs but with the lovely seamed line up the back. I went out two nights ago with flesh coloured stockings with a black seam up the back, I wore a brown polka dot dress with them with red shoes. I thought it looked pretty good!

But I can see that if you only wear more opaque stockings or tights it can feel weird at first, just go for it and you'll look great.
