The Not Too Distant Future

So I have just started my third semester at my community college. I am majoring in Film and would love to become a movie director. If that fails, at least have a line of work in the film industry. But, all my classes consist of something that's fun and interests me. Basically saying, I am currently not taking courses for credit to transfer to a better college like Sac State or something. I'm just having fun. Which is fine in a way, but this will not bring me any closer to my life long dream. Or course, I would be doing film classes if my college had better classes. But they only have barely a handful of courses containing this line of work.

I find myself becoming 20 in a couple months and barely have any hours on my part time job, still living at home, yet am a full-time student. By no means am I complaining. I actually have some best friends(which is saying something compared to three years ago) and an amazing boyfriend who will hopefully become something more in the future. I have great parents and even though we have lost a lot, we have managed to find a house to rent and living with our heads just above water. Plus, I have no bills to pay haha.

Having said all this, I continue to think about my future. I am one who lives in the past, but still force my self to think and plan for the future. As I'm sure all of you are familiar with, the future is a scary, stressful thing. I am a very independent girl and find myself worrying about having a good job and how hard it is going to be becoming a movie director. I worry more than half my life and have some other problems but we'll discuss this later. The other thing I worry about is moving out on my own and going to school and paying bills and working and yadda yadda. I'm young and should be living life.....Hell, even if you're 40 you should be living life.

Anyways, I see other young adults and see their life together. Big house, good job, head WELL above the water, nice car(s). This is sometimes because of how well they work with money and how they've accomplished all this without any help from parents or what not. But then again you do see the 35 year old living in their parents basements. It takes all kinds. I'm just worried and hope to all that I will make it in this world. Wish me luck.
