Episode 1: The Truck.

So I finally had the chance this weekend to get out of town and have some fun. I met up with a couple of girlfriends and we rocked the town! We went to several clubs/bars, played pool (which I totally suck at!), played darts (I'm much better) and dirty danced to karaoke at the last establishment of the evening.

Much to my surprise, I was actually CARDED! More to my surprise, my girlfriends who are 31 and 26 were not! I was ecstatic to say the least, It's been years, literally, since I was ID REQUIRED worthy. I guess the pigtails work! (picture to follow soon, I promise).

This is one of those been here forever and taking care of the locals kind of place. It has table shuffleboard for tournaments and the powdery gritty stuff they use make the pieces slide better had gotten on the floor. One of my girlfriends slipped on the stuff and did one of those "you really didn't notice that" catches, kinda like when your cat falls off the window sill and won't admit it. Fun times.

Even cooler, than being ID'd with pigtails, is the bar itself. It is an old red Chevy pick up truck with the top of the cab cut off and a wooden bar mounted on top, front to rear, the complete length, the front end is one end of the bar, and the tail gate is the other. The passenger door frame sticks up through the top of the bar and has a bicycle air horn for the bartender to squeak anytime he feels. The best part is that the patrons have taken it upon themselves to graffiti it with "Jane was here" and "Jill loves Bob" kind of sentiments all over this unique bar. Needless to say, we closed the place down.

To end the night, we ended up back at my girlfriend's house and proceeded with more girly fun and more pics (sorry, lovers, but those are restricted access only!)
