Not a bad weekend...

Started rolling Friday night by going to Grease at the Golden Gate in San Francisco. A good show, but not a great one. I can understand energy being low on closing weekend, or just having an off night. These things happen in theater, but when I go to see a touring company perform something as recognizable as Grease, I hope to be wowed. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad... it just wasn't impressive. And the whole Taylor Hicks thing was kind of ridiculous. He played Teen Angel, and did a decent job of it, but at the end of the show he sneered through casting call and then sang the single from his new album. Shameless plug.

After Grease was the Hubba Hubba Revue at the DNA. Their "Viva la Revolucion" show. Good laughs, good acts, good times. Kingfish and Eddie were 'El Presidente' and 'General Eduardo' respectively. Always funny, and hey, who doesn't like seeing girls get naked?

Yesterday was Booze, Broads, and Hot Rods. Total blast. Didn't get the chance to catch most of the bands, but the vendors were cool and so was the company. Ran into Daddy Cool, Desiree, SFPhotoJournal, Vigorous Vixen, and Screamin' J. All cool folk... hell, we wouldn't have even met VV and Screamin' J but her shoes were killing her feet and she happened to pick the bench I was kicking it on to rest up a bit. Small world, right?

Today's gonna be a bit more kicked back, it's Roxy's mom's birthday so we'll be celebrating.
