Yes, I am one of those people who believes in New Year resolutions. And, so far I have been sticking to the promises I've made myself!

I've already quit smoking. It's been a rough back-and-forth battle, but I haven't had a cigarette in over a week! And -- I don't want one! I feel GREAT! I even suppressed my biggest temptation. While drinking my flask of Jack, Jesse sat right next to me drinking his beer and lighting cigarette after cigarette.. I was tempted to use the excuse, "well, I'm drinking so it's okay if I slip up and just have one." But, I resisted!

My next step will start Sunday. (I always like to start at the beginning of a week.) I'm going to detox for 3-4 days and totally cleanse out all the toxins from smoking, drinking, eating fatty / sugary / processed foods this past holiday season, and then stick to my healthy, organic diet lifestyle. I'm also going to start exercising again. Now that I've quit smoking, it should make it easier for me to start running and doing cardio workouts :)

I love how exercising and eating healthy just makes you feel so energized! I'm excited to get started!
