Just a few fun facts about me :)

I just thought it would be cool to post a few fun fact about myself is all. So...here goes! =D

1. I was actually born in Las Vegas, Nevada.
2. I recently received rave reviews for my role as Adelaide in "Guys & Dolls"
3. My favorite film of all time is Mr. Peabody and the Mermaid.
4. I dressed up as (and impersonated) Marilyn Monroe for an oral biography report in middle school.
5. I have an obsession with vintage prom gowns, lingerie, and swimwear.
6. The eras that inspire me most fashion-wise include the 1930's, 1942-1947, and 1950-1956
7. My first name "Coco" came from when I was little, whenever I wore my hair in pigtails, because I have an afro, everyone called them my "cocoa puffs"; and my last name "L'Amour" is a tribute to one of my favorite actresses and pin-up girls, Dorothy Lamour.


Dorothy Lamour was one of the most popular pinup girls among servicemen (along with Rita Hayworth, Lana Turner, and Betty Grable) during WWII and was responsible for promoting $21 million worth of war bonds alone. She was of French-Louisianan heritage and had very dark skin and she was often mistaken for a South American. I have kind of the opposite situation; I'm a mixed ethnicity (with both South American and African American heritage), but I'm very, very light-skinned, so people usually stare at me like a math problem until I tell them what my nationality is XD Her racial ambiguity is also something that has always inspired me :)
