The boy (my own personal long, tall Texan who misses his state immensely) and I are planning on moving to The Lone Star State sometime in the coming year, probably after the hot Arkansas summer can turn into a dreary, wet winter. My choice would be San Antonio (one of the most beautiful cities I have had the pleasure to visit) but Austin looks more likely since my cousin attends college there and the cost of living appears lower.

Any Texas ladies have any advice, suggestions, etc for us on jobs in demand, places to live or things to prepare for?

oooh! you're gonna love it! I'm from california, and i've been here going on 9 years and i simply adore it. as crazy as the weather can get and all that, it's still Texas and thats enough! San antonio is pretty, but really boring. Austin is where it's at! especially if you're into any or all things alternative. It's a very lively and active city. Good luck on your decision making, hope you find yourself a home here in TX!!
