I read an article in the newspaper today about an 18 year old boy graduating from HS somewhere in CA. At the age of 11 months, he was hospitalized for an asthma attack in the same hospital where his father was a lobotomist. His father waited until his baby son was alone in the hospital room, then injected him with HIV infected blood. He didn't want to be a father; he didn't want to pay child support.....
What the F****** F***??? If you don't want to be a parent and you make the mistake of becoming one.... just DISAPPEAR. Don't be an ingrate, arrogant ASS bag, POS excuse for a human being and try to solve the problem by sentencing an innocent child to a very LIKELY shortened life of pain and suffering. AAAGGGHHHH!!!!
Anyway, LUCKILY the kid makes it through 17 years of persecution and exclusion by a big portion of society all the stronger and is now an advocate for people with AIDS. LUCKILY he had people in his life that cared for and supported him and helped him along. My BIG issue, is the fact the a LOT of children in these types of situations are NOT that lucky. That's why I personally do not have a problem with abortion if it is done in the right circumstances.
I am good friends with a family that adopted two children. Their 10 year old's biological mother did heroine the entire time she was pregnant. Ellie suffered from strokes AND seizures while in the womb for 9 LONG months. She never developed some of the bones in her hands. She's blind. She can't eat because her esophagus doesn't work so she is fed through a bag which is constantly attached to her stomach through a tube. Unfortunately, there are problems with internal infections because of this. She goes through blood transfusions, surgeries and illness CONSTANTLY. This 10 year old child has gone through more physical trauma then many of us will see in a LIFETIME. Their 8 year old is an alcohol syndrome child. They adopted both of them while the mothers were still pregnant so the girls have only known the love of two wonderful and extremely unselfish parents. This is a miracle story with a semi-happy ending.
Now, tell me.... what happens to the ones that aren't THIS lucky??? The one's that don't get adopted by people who know and accept the hardships and pain that come with raising children with extreme disabilities??? (And I am not excluding children that are perfectly normal, health wise, but are simply NOT WANTED by their birth parents.) Those are the one's that are often found in dumpsters wrapped in celaphane or cooked to death in microwave ovens or beaten or starved or drowned. I will NOT accept that this is a better option then ending a life before it is born... That abortions cause more suffering than this.
I am UTTERLY and ENTIRELY disgusted..... as if I wasn't enough already.
