My 1940's Film Theme Wedding

If you have planned or are planning a wedding, then you know that's all you can talk about and think about. LOL. So i thought i'd share my upcoming wedding details....

We're having 1940's film theme wedding at an old art deco movie theater, with a red carpet entrance full with "paparazzi" and flash bulbs popping. Our names will be in lights on the marquee and our movie poster in cased in glass outside the theater. A cigarette girl will be handing out candy cigs & cigars, wearing an authentic costume, during cocktail hour, while upbeat big band and jazz music plays. We're doing a choreographed first dance and hiring swing dancers to perform also. The entire wedding party (and even some guests) will be wearing 1940's outfits. All our tables are named after film stars of the 30's & 40's. We're showing dance numbers from old films (on silent) during dinner and have made a short b&w film (more like a movie trailer) of ourselves to play during our slide show. We even got little clapboard placecard holders- they're so cute. Our favors are going to be mini bags of popcorn and the movie Casablanca, in a pretty box with film strip ribbon...and a candy buffet with retro candies. I'll be wearing a fitted floor length white gown (with small train) with cap sleeves and vintage brooches, birdcage veil & fascinator, pin-up girl style make up and Hollywood glam (Rita Hayworth, Veronica Lake style) hair. I CAN"T WAIT!!!!

Wow! It looks as if you have every last detail figured out! I just love that wedding dress and I think that the cap sleeves will be the perfect touch! The whole set up sounds great! Having your name in lights is the best idea ever! When are you getting married?
