I ran 5 whole miles yesterday, and didn't need to stop once. Oh, I wanted to, but did not need to. There is a difference. I ran my first 5k today with narry a problem at all. I only stopped to walk for like, 1 minute, right after the hill, but that was it. Hooray! Here's to a tone rear view, hehe. I'm hoping to do the Danville Hot Summer Nights in August, must chat with Miss Eve Devlin and find out what the scoop is.
I'm watching Labyrinth at the moment, and I must say, David Bowie as the Goblin King is one of the best things to have come out of the 80's.

I am loving my black hair, it's a great look for me, if I do say so. I can't wait for my photog to post the pics we took over the weekend, from what I saw they're very sexy and well done. It is suddenly incredibly hot here. I am trying to ventilate my apartment and it's not working.
I just found out that a bunch of my friends are coming to the show on Thursday, so now the pressure is on to have that second dance ready. I'd really like to do two sets this time. I love running so much, and training for this half marathon gives me this incredible feeling of empowerment. It's also giving me a powerful motive to stop lighting up on the weekends. I want my endurance to increase. And I'm looking forward to toning up my legs for future burlesque performances. I'm wondering if I should get a tattoo. I've been sort of wanting one anyway, and I think it will help with the whole pinup/rockabilly look. Something tasteful on my side, so it's only visible when I want it to be.

Upcoming show at Easy925 on Thursday the 16th. I get to make a new costume tonight, I'm very excited. I'm dancing to "Splish Splash" by Bobby Darin, so my costume will consist of a large fluffy towel, some sparkly blue underthings and a shower cap with kitten ears, of course. The kitten ears are the best part, I love making them!
I really wish I could do the MAC show with the other girls, but I must go see my old friend get hitched. I'm sure it will be a huge success, though!
