Hey! I'm Kate Riley, I love the 1950's! The drive in, diner, pin ups, 50's custom cars, fashion, everything! I am currently studying at the Australian Academy of Design in Melbourne doing a batchelor of Design, and love sport and music.

My latest revelations to fill my shallow needs are as follows guys and dolls,



- I really want to get my nose pierced! Anyone had it done before, and does it kill? Also, What side?

Ideas for 21st - 50's style

So here are some ideas i have if anyone wants to steel them:



- Checkered tablecloths

- ketchup salt and pepper on table

- retro napkin dispensers

- 50's music

- 50's diner scene setter at kitchen

- old red and white striped popcorn holders with vintage pop corn machine

- glass bottled coca cola

- mini hamburgers

- pin up posters on walls and posters of 50's muso's

- records hanging from ceiling

- record bowls for food

Hey Guys!



I am currently deep into organising my 50's inspired 21st birthday bash! I am just in need of some good ideas! I allready have the venue which is the Portland Yacht Club, next to the beach and has a kitchen, dance floor and 6 round tables each seating 8! So decoration wise, i need some ideas that are cheap and easy! I was thinking a 50's Diner / 50's drive in / At the hop type set up. IDEAS PLEASE!
