Where can I buy vintage or repro paper sewing patterns?

Okay, so this is probably a stupid question. But I'm in Norway and struggle to find good repro or vintage sewing patterns. The last year or so I've just bought clothes online, from sites like Pinupgirlclothing, etc. But I really wanna get back to my sewing machine and the few patterns I had I left behind with my folks in UK. So really wanna buy more. Does anyone know any good websites with reasonably priced repro and vintage sewing patterns?

Hi Ms. Davialex!

I buy from a company in Texas, USA called Vintage Martini. Their website is:

http://www.vintagemartini.com/

Have fun!
There are some fine online retailers specializing in vintage patterns:
www.cemetarian.com
www.lanetzliving.net
www.momspatterns.com

Don't forget to check etsy.com! Many vendors there are happy to ship internationally. I used to have a slew of vintage patterns in my Etsy shop, but I haven't replenished my listings since they all sold out. I have BOXES of vintage patterns in my stash, if you can describe to me what you're looking for... or I can scan the envelope fronts and make an online photo album for them. Easiest for you, but it may take me a while to finish the project.

Please, join us on SewRetro.com - we're a large, worldwide group of sewists who specialize in working with vintage patterns and styles. There's a lot of support and encouragement there, and we'd love to see whatever you wind up working on!

Do you all know if the sizes on the vintage patterns on ebay are "modern day" sizes or back then sizes...

Maryline, with ANY sewing pattern, whether modern or vintage, the pattern size will most likely not correlate with the dress size you're accustomed to wearing. I typically wear a modern dress size 6 or 8, but am often a 10 or 12 in modern patterns! Vendors will list the pattern's finished measurements, and those are what you should go by. Keep in mind that if you find something you love, but it's not your size, patterns can be adjusted with a little cutting and/or pinning voodoo!

Hope that helps, and feel free to ask questions. :)
