What's the best thing about where you live?

I just read an interesting article from CNNmoney.com on the 100 Best Places to Live in America. In the article, they first show only the top 10, and with the exception of one or two, most of these places seemed fairly small and obscure - probably why they made the list.

So this got me thinking, since there are so many amazing cities and towns in the world, where do the beautiful people of PL live and what's your favorite thing about it? Do you plan on staying where you are or is there somewhere you think is more fitting for you?

I can say lots about where I'm from--New Orleans, LA--great people, great food, great music, Fleurty girl tshirts, the culture, the Saints (formerly known as the Aints) etc. etc. I live for it, can't get enough of the lifestyle. But to say something nice about where I live now-the Twin Cities, yep all the way up in Minnesota--well, it's clean and it's got nice summers. That's all I've got.

I'm in Vegas too.  Probably the 24x7x365 access to booze.  Savannah, Georgia is where I'll be moving to in a few years.  Close to the ocean, lots of history, beautiful parks and lots of green.  I'm definitely going to miss the mountains, geography, history and exploring in Nevada...maybe I'll rent out my house here so I have. Reason to come back from time to time.

We live just outside Louisville, KY I like living here because I have a nice 28 acre horse farm, but am still close enough to the city to take advantage of the wide range of restaurants, clubs and museums. We have an opera series, broadway musicals, ballet and all sorts of performers coming here in concert.

 

is it perfect for everyone? no, but it works well for me. Throw in a trip to Jamacia, LA or san Fran now and then and I'm a happy girl.
