What's the one style you love to hate?

I have been chatting with friends on another site and it came to my attention that there are a TON of fashion trends that I seriously DISLIKE! Heck, border on LOATHE even. LOL

 

So now I bring the discussion to my PL peeps! What is the one fashion fad that you simply CAN NOT STAND?! It can be from any era, decade, country... whatever and wherever!

 

Post up those pics people! But please remember! KEEP IT NICE IN HERE! We don't want people arguing about what they think is best.

 

Fashion is all a matter of opinion anyway!

This may be a resurgence of the plaid grunge style. Ugh... no please. Plaid- yes. Plaid un-tucked, wrinkled and mismatched- NO.

I frikkin LOATHE the "whale tail."  I was glad to see them go out of style, but I can't believe someone actually made jeans with the thong attached.  Ugh.  That's all I can say about that!  Just ugh.

One thing that I just can't get into is the trend of mixing patterns.  I was reading my Glamour magazine yesterday and they swear that it's the next best thing!

The magazine also says you should mix your florals in one outfit.  Somehow, they think that looks good.

I guess I'm not a big fashion risk-taker.  :)

I actually don't mind shorts and uggs...but some of the rest of these fashions are absolutely horrible.

OK this is a prime example of bad "fashion". 

Picture #1 - Uggs, just not cute.  I am a total shoe gal and just can't get behide this fashion trend.  I have one pair of boots that kinda look like Uggs (they are made by Sketchers Australia) and the ONLY reason I have them is because I needed snow boots last year and they were the only thing our PX had (I can't wait to get back to the states and normal shopping).

Pictures #2 & 3 - Classic example of "PBS" (Prison B**** Syndrome).  For those that don't know, the whole pants sagging trend started in prison.  It was a signal to the other MEN that you are "available".

 

Picture #4 - The designer just needs to be slapped.

 

Picture #5 - Even ifI had the body to wear somethin like that (which I don't cause I actually have a butt and hips) I have more respect for my self and women in general NOT to wear that. Besides it's just trashy.

1.  Skinny jeans...The greatest joke perpetrated on women by the clothing industry.  Unless you're a size 0-4 you look like a lollipop, which trust me is not a good look.

 

2.  Douche bag/Date Rapist Fashion....Ed Hardy, Tap Out, anything embroidered or shiny or tight.  It doesn't make you more attractive to the ladies, it only makes you look like a clown...a very creepy clown.

 

3.  Slob Fashion...Flip Flops, sweat pants, pajamas, t-shirts.  If you look like you just got out of bed, you should stay in bed.

4.  Faux Retro...Betty Bangs, Hair Flowers, Red Belts.  This isn't fashion, this is costume.  Like going to Spencer's or Hot Topics to look "alternative". 

 

Oh and don't get me started on corsets and hot pants or as I like to call it,  "Hooker Billy".
