"We Are The New Vintage"

I could not be happier that myspace allows you to set photo albums to private. I really dont care who sees my profile on there, but when ALL my photos are public I get the weirdest of the weirdos e-mailing me asking bizarre questions.
And I worked at a school as a teaching assistant once upon a time, but never had any of the students or parents I worked with contact me on myspace, so it never occured to me to worry about them seeing my pics.
I think I wouldnt have added them as friends though, to maintain boundries between my work and social lives. After all- your personal life is none of their business to drag out into the open and use against you. You're on here to network with an industry that has nothing to do with your professional life therefore both minors and adults you work with have no business being on your profile as "friends". Having a separate profile for work relations could be nice and prevent you from seeming unfriendly.
What would you do if a Photographer contacted you about a shoot and it was the father/mother of a student you worked with? Would you do the shoot or turn it down to maintain the boundry? (its a rhetorical question to think about)
Hey doll, we understand your concern and have built tools to help make this easy for you. When you upload photos you have the option to make them completely private, available only to your fans on the site (which you approve manually) or totally public.
Choose the option that best suits you. Since you want to have a portfolio online your best option is to select that they can only be viewed by friends.
Additionally, you can set your entire profile to be private and only viewable by friends too ;) Just another added layer of screening. This can be done here: http://www.pinuplifestyle.com/profiles/profile/privacySettings
Let me know if I can help in any way.
