"We Are The New Vintage"
Stage names...
I'm just getting to the point now where I want to start furthering my networking and putting together routines in the hopes of possibly doing a show or two this year, and as such I am getting to the serious business of a stage name.
I'm a little torn...
The name I use on here, obviously, is Pepsi Cola. This is great for pin-up and it comes with the ready made tag line of "sweet, bubbly and popular during the Great Depression". However, I have so many routine ideas that are a little more off the wall and I feel that Pepsi Cola is too retro/pin-up for it.
I also go by the name Tiger Prawn for my erotica writing and a few other things, and obviously this is not a very burlesque name. However, I would like to keep the Tiger element in some way, something that's cute but will suit routines set to Elvis as much as ones set to modern rock music...
Since around 2005 I have had the nicname Tiger Toes, which I like, and "toes" suits dancing in general - but it also conjurs up images of big furry paws... not very graceful.
Or possibly just Tiger Tiger after the William Blake poem which was actually one of my grandfather's favourite poems...
Anybody have any opinions? I would be very grateful.
