"We Are The New Vintage"
My soon to be sis-in-law were having a discussion regarding whether or not she should go with fake eyelashes or extensions for her upcoming wedding
While I LOVE to use false eyelashes I have a few concerns about actually use them that special day
1: sometimes they JUST don’t want to co-operate and go on correctly
2: the line can sometimes look too thick thus making it obvious you are wearing falsies
3: If you buy the wrong kind or even a cheap pair they look super fake when one is looking downward, taking away the beauty of the look.
I am all for extensions for a special occasion such as your wedding day but she has heard horror stories about possible reactions.
Anyone have an opinion and advice they’d like to share?

I get extensions all the time. Anytime I have an event or trip I go in and get them. They last for 1-2 weeks, but I always carry extras (just in case). It makes it so easy; no glue, no mess, no work, no curling, no mascara... perfect lashes. The lady who does mine charges me $30 and they are always perfect. I say go for it!
Thanks ladies. I totally agree with the extensions. Its for a special occasion so why not? And like you said Amba Diahann, I don't want her stressing about them not going on properly and what not. I'll pass your gals wise words along to her. THANKS! :)
I love the idea of getting lash extensions! I wore false lashes every day for a bit, even to the gym (cringe!) a while ago. I had to stop, as for some reason my own lashes were becoming sparse. It seemed as the on and off with the Duo Surgical Lash Adhesive might have been the culprit. Did the lash extensions do anything weird to your natural lashes? I've googled and read conflicting reviews. I figured just go to the pin up experts! ;)
If you pull you lashes off before the glue starts to degrade you can end up pulling off your real lashes. But if you are careful (and use some warm water) it's really not too bad.
My mother-in-law wore them to go garden in back in the day, you are not alone. I have heard that happening. Thanks Roxy Tart for the great advice. :) I'm gonna tell the soon to be sis in law that you all agree with me. She needs to just SPLURGE for this wonderful occasion!
I'd say extensions too. Someone already mentioned getting glue everywhere with falsies. The other concern would be a reaction to the glue. The last thing she wants on her special day is puffiness or a rash around her eyes due to cheap glue. It doesn't happen often, but as I know a few folks (my daughter included) who have allergic reactions to adhesives, that would be my concern.
