does anyone on PL have crohn's disease, or know of any loved ones with this disease?
my boyfriend has it, and he is constantly recouping, and then a week later -suffering..

ya, thats tough... i have been with my boyfriend for 4 years now, and our first xmas was in the hospital, and the second, and then there were 2 REALLY good years, and he just had a problem in AUGust, and finally just had an Ileostomy this NOVEMBER... which was really tough, and still is... it is something you have to DEAL with, and it is a head ache... but you have to do, what you have to do... its life, and it's a card that was delt... the process is reverseable, but there is no cure for this disease... so it could just be an issue again, if it is reversed....
i've been reading like crazy, and learning, the more i talk about it, the more comfortable i am with the disease.... i want to be there for him and understand...

Someone I knew at University has it, I'm not sure of all the details, but she ended up having an operation which really helped. I think she was still to take loads of meds for the rest of her life, but the op (whatever it was) made a huge difference.
