Ladies Have any of you had any experience with cosmetic tattoos? especially for lips.

I have always been interested in it but never met anyone who had had it done. Any opinions?

Not sure if this should be in makeup or body art.

I have seriously considered having my eyeliner done! But no experience with it yet.

One of my best friends got her eyeliner and brows done. Her brows look AMAZING, her eyeliner... not so much. It came out a little shaky looking. Both were done by the same person, but the brows look so much better. I have met two other ladies with eyeliner done, and neither of theirs look very good either.  I'm thinking about getting my eye brows done, but I haven't quite committed to it yet.
I want to get permanent lipstick, but my tattoo artists were appalled when I brought it up to them & basically told me they'd beat my ass if I had it done.

Ok, well thanks for the input Roxy. I would not be getting eyeliner done myself its mainly lips that im interested in.

Might it be because the brow area does not move arround so much as your eyelids do? so it might be easier to get a cleaner line, I dont know.

@v11toes why do your tattoo artists have a problem with it? Did they give a reason or just object to the practice on principle? I mean cosmetic tattoos are not the same as regular tattoos and are not actually permanent.

sorry @Lilly F Elliott! I just now saw that you asked me a follow up question. I really don't know why they are so opposed to it. It may be a protection thing? Like, they're just afraid of me being "done wrong" or something? I don't know, it was one of those "Nope, this is not up for discussion, don't even think about it, that will not be allowed" kinds of reactions. I kinda just let it go after that... but I do still want it done ;)
My aunt had her eye liner done. It looks good and she loves it, guess it depends on the applier. If anything see a women about getting it done, we do have more experience in every day life ;)

i have my brows done and extremely thin thin eyeliner.  i love it so much!!!!!  it saves you soooooooo much time and when done right it looks very natural.  i live in san diego so if you are interested message me and i can give the info on who did mine.

i'm actually going to see her in a few weeks to thicken up the eyeliner, and she has done the lips of many women

Yeah my mom got her brows done and the lady messed up on her brows! One was bigger than the other one, so be careful who does it and look at there work before you get it done.

Thanks ladies I guess Its going to be alot of research and a bit of faith for this one! If I get it done I'll post.

geena la brujita thanks I am in CT so a bit far. But I'd be interested in if she has any advice.

I'm not a lady, but I met a few. Some good some bad. 2 things you must consider.  1) Quality of the work. It can be the right color & shape, but if the artist blows it. Well you know.  2) That's the 2nd thing Do you know what you want to live with I did say live those are permanate. Good luck, R

Weird - i was just googling cosmetic tattooing a day ago!!! I want to get cats eye liner tattood on but still considering it. I rekon its healthier too saves you in lots o chemicals on your face every day and gives me extra sleep in!! My friend had hers done and said the best thing she ever did
