What's to come in 2010

I think 2010 will be the most exciting but the most nerve wracking year of my life, but I am truly looking forward to it. My new year's revolution is to not give into society and be the person I want to be, not who they want me to be. So far, I've stuck to this by cutting my own Bettie Page inspired bangs in and buying a lush 1940's style jumper. Tomorrow is my first day back at college and I don't plan on giving into their Hollister, Jack Wills, and Abercrombie & Fitch stereotype. Here's to hoping I keep this resolution!

This summer I have a majorly long break (I think it's from the end of June to the beginning of October) so I plan on going to as many shows and events as I possibly can. In addition to this I really hope that my modelling takes off, so I'm hopefully going to get some professional shoots done and keep my fingers crossed. After my long, long summer break I'm off to university to study Archaeology - if all goes to plan, in Liverpool - and I'll have a whole new scene to discover!

Basically, I'm really excited about 2010! 2009 was very good, but here's to 2010 being even better!

Thanks so much guys! I always feel so much more comfortable when I'm wearing what I want to wear. First day back at college tomorrow should be interesting. I can feel the stares on my back already haha!

Hey Roxie, I really like this New Years resolution!

I couldn't help but comment because I went through the same thing a few years ago. Because I act and model (and was going to University for theatre & English) I was conforming to what I felt was the desired look that people would want from me...and I stopped thinking about how I wanted to look, and what was really me.
Then one day, with the help of my new man, I decided f*** this! I'm showing the world who I truly am! And guess what! My modelling career took off, and I got more acting jobs.
And aside from all the professional stuff, I just feel more happy, and more comfortable in my own skin.

So I definitely learned the lesson of "be yourself"

I hope this transition benefits you as much as it did me!
