Thoughts On Blonde

Wow. I have not been blonde since I was 18!
My stylist bleached me out yesterday and now I'm part of the blonde Betties club! It was so weird at first. My kids were in shock. My own dog barked at me, out ouf sheer inablility to recognize her owner. BUT...I feel great.
It feels like I've shed an old layer of skin and have a fresh new coat on! It has also reminded me that being blonde requires a daily makeup routine, in order to create balance and keep from looking like I have a wig on!
Being blonde takes me back to my Marilyn fascination. I'm tempted to do a few shots in a Marliyn-esque style at my upcoming shoot.
I feel a little more sexy, but almost a little more airheaded too. Is that just because there is a stigma attached to being a blonde? I guess this is a good experiment in how blondes are perceived!
