T-Day in Las Vegas

For my birthday and Thanksgiving, my wife and I decided to escape to Las Vegas. We stayed at one of our perennial favorite hotels, Treasure Island (aka TI) I can't believe how much the Strip is developing - our last visit there was 2002 when we stayed at Stardust (now, long gone.)

I heartily recommend Rosemary's restaurant near Summerlin. One of our favorite meals of our life! We actually sat next to the mayor, Oscar Goodman!

Well, the good luck was not to last... Thanksgiving morning, I awoke with a killing pain in my right side. We had to take a cab to the nearest ER, where after a few hours and tests, it was determined that I had a kidney stone! Thanksgiving Day consisted of me writhing around the hotel bed in agony awaiting my wonderful wife to return with a prescription of pain meds. My little 3mm stone passed at about 3pm. We had Ruben sandwiches and watched "The Incredibles"

I also heartily recommend you go visit Red Rock Canyon. Gorgeous beyond description. it's about 45 minutes from the strip, past the NW part of town.
