stupid las vegas

okok, not las vegas
but stupid people who think that this trip was all about them too!
SO, heres the deal, in a rather large nutshell:
Me and my beau were planning a bday trip to Las Vegas at the end of my for my 21st bday. (his birthday is on the 10th,) so we were really going for both of us, but going closer to mine so that i can actually party it up in grand ol LV for my 21st. OBVIOUSLY we didnt want to go on the weekend, and since my bday is on a tuesday, it was going to be perfect: go tues thru friday, or saturday at the latest, to escape all the HUGE room rates (which we cant afford rite now anyway..)

We talked about it to a lot of our friends, trying to plan it out.
my BFF has decided that she cant take the time off of work, (she only works during the week, and her and her hubby and son just got back from Rhode island to visit family), and wants to go on a weekend instead, since itll be easier for her. I get a little annoyed because i tell her that its just going to get more expensive if we go during the weekend, and shes arguing against me., saying that there are several hotels that arent expensive on the weekend...which I can agree too, but these hotels also arent on the strip or realistically within walking distance of the strip...we dont have to have to drive and crap around LV or take a cab everywhere.. its more money than we need to be spending.

THEN she proceeds to tell me that me and the boy are being unfair because she SWEARS that we talked about going for her hubby's bday too (whcih is apparently in may, and i had no idea), and tries to tell me that is supposed to be for all 3 of our birthdays and not just mine. "Im not trying to be a jerk" she says, when she knows thats what she's doing..
She keeps trying to guilt trip me into saying ok i'll move the dates...but i really dont want to. Ive never really had plans to do anything ON my actual birthday in YEARS, due to the fact is usually falls on or around memorial day or that weekend. So the one flippin time i think im going to get to do something fabulous ON my flippin birthday for once, people like to mess it up.
Its just to frustrating, i dont know what to do!

Check out the 4 queens Hotel !!! I just booked a saturday and sunday for $77.00 ........ It's in the old Vegas area on Fremont street..... It's pretty cheap for a room.... not the greatest but does the job !!!! Go celebrate girl !!! Only live once.....................

Look, you only turn 21 once, so this is technically YOUR celebration. I mean, that is why you picked Vegas and not the beach or something. Just explain to your friend that you and your b/f made plans for during the week and if she and her hubby can't make it, then there will be other trips. It sounds like she wants this to be all about her rather than you and your man. If she can't make it, then it will turn into a (more) romantic bday trip. Have fun! I'm jealous. I've always wanted to go to Vegas. :)
