Pink Ribbon Tournament

Susan G. Komen fought breast cancer with everything she had. She did not stop there, but spent her last days encouraging other women who were struck by the same disease. Her sister Nancy G. Brinker promised Susan that she would keep fighting the good fight. Susan died, but Nancy kept her word and the fight goes on to end breast cancer forever.

Now you have a chance to join that fight by contributing to The Pink Ribbon Tournament: A Medieval Event for a Modern Cure, sponsored by local members of the Society for Creative Anachronism. The SCA is an international non-profit 501(c)(3) dedicated to researching and re-creating the medieval world.

On October 25, medieval and modern worlds will meet as we fight for the greatest prize of all - a cure for breast cancer.

The SCA's Kingdom of Caid and the Barony of the Angels plans a day of medieval fighting, arts displays, games, and revelry to raise funds for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the global leader of the fight against breast cancer. The Pink Ribbon Tournament will be held on October 25, 2009 at Recreation Park, 620 South Shamrock Avenue in Monrovia, California.

We are seeking donations including money, products, goods, services, and gift certificates. Donated items may be written off as charitable donations, and we will list you and your business on our web site or gate book as a thank-you for your generosity.

Thanks to fundraising events and generous contributions, the Susan G Komen Foundation has become the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world. We are honored to be a part of that.
