Just back from our holidays. 2 weeks in France.
We started with Carnac (Britanny) and it's dolmens and menhirs. The same as Stonehenge and also totally different. Where the stones in Stonehenge are impressif by their size, the ones in Carnac are impressif by their number (more than 2000 stones aligned)!!
Afterwards we headed for the south, the Camargue and it's wild horses and pink flamingo's. Lovely, our hotel was some kind of big "hacienda" at the edge of the swamps. Really fantastic! Very hot though but luckily their was some wind to make it up.
Our last stop was in the Provence: the "gorges du Verdon". Absolutely amazing! Very impressif too!!
We staid in a village build in the mountains: Moustiers Ste Marie. It is said to be one of the most lovely villages in France and it was!
Now, back to reality. I'm a little sad but happy to be home too: I missed my 2 kittycats very much! :D :D
Nevertheless, I'm already preparing for the next trip: The Ace café / Rockers reunion run in London & Brighton in September. YES!!
