Fingers Crossed I Get Into This Burlesque Troupe!

I first had the thought to produce stage shows and do burlesque/cabaret about 3 years ago, but if you knew me you'd know I never think small or start simple. So all this time that's been one of the side projects I've slowly but steadily worked on. I'm still working on it. And from what I've got so far, I know it's no small undertaking and that I would be of better use to my own group if I got some experience in that particular type of performance. So I decided to go for it.

There has never been more than two burlesque groups going on here in the Fort Worth/Dallas metroplex but last year I did audition for one an hour away. They turned out to not be what I was looking for so it was okay I never heard back from them. The only other group around (if that other one is even still going) has a director I've had a few chance encounters with and I finally decided to give them a go. I don't even know if they're looking to add a girl, but they've only got four so there's a chance. I just sent her my dance resume & pics yesterday so right now I'm all anxious to hear back from her.

With no other groups around and me not having the time to add forming one to my list of duties, I don't know how I'll get started in this damn town if this doesn't work out, so... fingers crossed!

I'm IN! And not only that but I was in day 1 and performing the FOUR routines I had to learn with the quickness on day 4 (this Valentine's Day!)!! It's ON!
