We've had the gifts active on the network for a little while now, we'd love to get your honest feedback.

- Do they make the site less professional?

They don't really add anything to the site at all. Let's get rid of them.

It's nice to get them, but they really don't seem to add anything to the site. And the people I know who haven't gotten any, wanna know why. It does kinda seem like a popularity thing. I can take them or leave them, I leave it to you guys, I trust my boss's opinion.

The gifts, among many other obnoxious buttons/tags/pokes/games/crushes/etc. is why I loathe Facebook. So I will be honest and say ex-nay the gifts! No need to flog PL with excessive icons to look at and things to worry about keeping up on. I like it when it'd tidy and easy to navigate!

I'd personally would like to rid of them straight out...... doesn't look very professional in my opinion, that's all. It is your baby so whatever you do I guess.....

I think that if you have to ask the question, it's pretty much already answered. While I like the concept, Maybe you could have some type of virtual currency like so much for logging in, so much for adding comments, for adding photos to your profile, etc. More activity on the site would be rewarded with virtual currency, which could then be spent on the gifts. Currently, there is no way to accumulate credits to buy gifts other than to buy them. Either that or just add a small variety of free gifts to choose from. Also, a selection of uber gifts can be purchased if you really want to impress someone. Just a thought.
