Faith in Addiction

I think that there is faith in addiction,
Order to a broken affliction.
fixing the hurt, it makes things worse…
It’s always there, it’s so unfair.
There’s always needing…
There’s always gonna be bleeding.
Just when ya think you’re on the mend
This whole word crashes down again.

And I could talk to you about what I go through like I’ve always done.
And you say you care that you will be there
but when the needle comes you’re gone.
If you really brighten night? How come I see darkness never light?
I pray for you to rescue me I ask for you to redeem my spirit,
But the demons are waiting there for me…have I never been really free…


A note to any addicts out there...

I know and understand what you deal with...and, I just want to say...you are not your addiction...you can move beyond it. There is freedom! keep going! selah.
