On Saturday 27th, at 03:33 am, an earthquake shook almost the 80% of my country, Chile. It was the biggest earthquake I've ever seen... it was actually bigger than the one occured in Haiti some weeks ago. 300 people have died already, and it seems that the number will increase. Toghether with the earthquake, two tsunami events have happened, and there are some places with no electricity, water or communication available.

The situation is very worrying, due to the fact that many aftershocks have been happening. The night has fall and I'm scared of falling asleep.

Fortunately, the city I live in has no problems, so I can still use the telephone, the internet and most important of all, I have water and electricity.
I'm also feel good because my family is fine, although a cousin of mine has lost his flat and his cars, because the building he lived went to pieces... He is ok now at his parents' house with his wife and sons.

All my country is very sad and worried, because we can't communicate with all our realtives.. you see, my country is very long, and now the airports are not working and neither do all the mobile phones... there's a huge part of the population that is isolated, and they have lost everything!!!

Some avenues have collapsed.. as you can see in the picture, and the governement has made a petition for we not to use our cars.. so the ambulances and police can use the streets freely and quickly.

Some people are scared of enter to their homes, so they plan to sleep on the streets...

Sincerely yours.. Scared Su.

My thoughts are with you and your family, and all of the people affected by these events. I'm glad you're still with us, and appreciate your update.
