Howdy! I'm Miss (now Mrs.) Jess, an all around designer, model, stylist and artist specializing in vintage-style western wear/Americana. I own Rockin' B Clothing. I love swing dancing, I try to dance every week with my local swing club - I'm a lindy hopper for life! I teach vintage hair and makeup workshops to area swing clubs and people interested in authentic/accurate vintage style - so much fun!

My husband and I love living in our 1928 craftsman bungalow, which we share with our black standard poodle Fritz, two kitties and WAY too many flashy western shirts! I absolutely adore all things vintage western - my style can most effectively be described as 40s Rodeo Queen does Atomic Ranch. I really enjoy painting murals and doing decorative painting - our house is covered in my work.

I also do quite a bit of freelance graphic design and illustration work under the roof of Rockin' B Design LLC, including wedding design! Please feel free to email/message me for more info - I'm always open to new clients and ideas.

A few last details - I'm currently working on a series of gothic Americana pinup paintings tentatively titled "Rural Daughters" - inspired by the beauty and mystery of classic Americana and bluegrass music. I'm very close to my family! I love film of all kinds and sitting around working on random embroidery projects.

P.S. - I have two vices in life. Hot, salty, greasy french fries, and shoes. Lots and lots of shoes.

Millinery Fun, My Bridal Headpiece is DONE!

I accomplished one of the larger, looming tasks at hand for the wedding last night - a very important piece of my bridal ensemble, my headpiece. Inspired by the gorgeous hats and veils worn by brides in glamorous 1930s Hollywood films, I ordered a box full of pleated horsehair crinoline and russian veiling from Judith M Millinery Supply and set to work.
