Since I was a child, Gypsy Rose Lee was an idol of mine. I loved the art of the tease and the idea of tantalizing an audience. The ability to openly accept, appreciate and celebrate both the sensual and sexual side of oneself is so important to being a whole and complete person. This is why I love burlesque - it allows everyone, whether they fit the mold or not, to find their whole self.
