I've always been a doodler and a maker of things, but never considered myself anything more than that, until a friend of mine asked if I would paint her a fairy.
I, thankfully, obliged and thus the roller-coaster ride that is Foxy Fairies began. I put to one side the dozens of other half finished projects in various media and decided to focus on watercolour fairies.
Clearly inspired more by Elvgren and Ballantyne than Cicely M. Baker, my girls developed a modern style of their own.
Sort of Vargas, for the FHM generation. But with wings.
Each of the girls has their own story to tell but they share common bonds:
They are confident, sexy trouble makers who accessorize marvelously. (who needs anything other than Jimmy Choo shoes and a pair of killer wings?)
So was born a new breed, the Foxy Fairies, who from time to time visit me and demand to be immortalised.
Each one of them longs to be adored, so please enjoy.
