Hello Peggie, I adore your wonderful and individual look. Having such a fine slender figure, you would be perfect for vintage 40s/50s couture fashion inspired photographs. Looking at images of Jean Patchett and Dovima for Vogue and Harper's Bazaar it is easy to see you working that style. Chris x

Yes, there are many pretty ladies out there but retro and pin up requires more than that. I have seen plenty of stale Bettie types and girls without a shred of character or personality. You clearly have a lot of zest plus a certain level of refinement and could easily match fleur de guerre for classy glamour. x

I am certainly happy to give whatever advice I can and I will send you a seperate email with some thoughts/ideas. There are a few brilliant British togs around with a good understanding of pin up style but most 'pros' havent a clue, regarding it as a tick box category that can be achieved using an old fur from a jumble sale and a hat from the local charity shop. When working with rookie togs it will be up to you to suggest poses and set ups because most togs wouldnt have studied pin up or only have scant knowledge. Many moons ago, I started sketching out poses I had seen in books etc and now have a pretty good pose guide. It comes in handy when a session goes 'dry'.
