Retouching is not just an art: it's a philosophical belief.

I believe that retouched images are actually MORE like what we see in real life. I think that when we see another human being in person we see them as a whole entity. When I retouch images this is the feeling that I hope to restore. I want to free the viewer from the doldrum task of scrutinizing flaws, and allow them to focus their attention on the beauty that the capture was intended to convey.

I've been shooting for about 6 years now. I'll shoot anything that holds still for 1/200th of a second. I love all types of photography, but it's photos of people that really speak to me.

I have the utmost respect for photojournalists, the ability to show the world the tragedies that happen on a daily basis is a gift. However, it's the ability to show the beauty of life that interests me personally. Sometimes it's sexy, sometimes it's silly, but it's always beautiful.
