I've always been impressed with the hairstyles and clothing styles from the 40's and 50's for as long as I can remember! I was about 5 the first time I tried to tease my hair with a round brush (eek!) to try and get the beehive effect...the hair cut that followed was, well, interesting! I am a big fan of pin-up art, especially Vargas' girls and am trying to embrace an era where glamour and beauty were more than skimpy dresses and provocative dance moves...there was something more to be desired. It was about charm, wit and allure...I absolutely adore it! I also love the hot rods, tattooed boys (and girls!) and bullet bras...RARR!
