Plus Size Pinup Model Lotta Moxie =) Retro Style, Roller Derby, Rockabilly, and all things fun and flirty.
I am a contradiction of terms. Always moving, full of energy, happy go lucky. An artist, and writer. I have an assortment of cameras and computers that say things that I, with two lips, might not. I keep my own hours and have the luxury of following my muse, and oh man does it wander. I'm always up all hours of the night and sleeping in half the day. I don't do 9 - 5, never have.
I'm a vintage gal, into retro glam, pinup artistry and all things feminine. Covered in color and art, I have full sleeves and tattoo work on my back as well. Walking art with a mouth on me. I worked in a studio myself for a long time and I've still been known to stick needles in people and do piercing exhibitions at events (needle wings and corset strings anyone? You know you want to be my next piece of performance art.)
I am articulate, intelligent, quick, and down to earth. I really try not to take myself too seriously. Definitely a clothes whore with enough shoes, boots, corsets and frocks for ten women. You can never have enough shoes. I have a collection of custom made corsetry, and always want more. Vintage lingerie makes me squeal like a girl.
I picked up Amy Vanderbilt's 'Everyday Etiquette' from 1954 the other day. There's a question in it:
"Is it proper for a single girl to have dinner in a bachelor's apartment without a chaperone?"
The reply is:
"Social conventions can do very little to protect a girl really bent on getting into difficulties. A good yard-stick might be 'Could I tell my mother where I am?' A career girl from her twenties onward might accept such an invitation, but should never stay beyond ten or ten-thirty. If others are present she might stay as late as midnight, but no later. An old rule, but a wise one is 'Avoid the appearance of evil.' It is still very true that men value little those girls who have no strong sense of propriety themselves."
Huh. Well ...
Social convention be damned, bring on the difficulty. I'm hell bent and if I even make it back to the apartment it will probably be well after midnight because we didn't leave the house until half past ten. The sun will just be coming up when we stumble in.
How did you find PL? (Who referred you?, What site was the link on? What keywords did you search?) Be detailed, It helps us advertise and thank people!
Sounds like a great space, at least ambiance, (if not heat) - wise.
(Definite score on dark room access, by the way ;-)
Any chance your landlord would show/publish his work ?
What medium does his wife work in ?
Hope it's a bit larger than my current digs - small, but functional.
My first mentors were Weinsteins, and one of the last agencies I'd worked for were owned by the Weinbergs. He sounds like these folk, good people all around.
You're quite right, film can't be beat, at least not for arts sake, (he says, contemplating more batches of film to develop, ) Keeps me out of other trouble anyway .
My profile shot, ?
Thanks for the compliment, but there's a reason I stay behind the camera - Expect the staging was the best part overall.
