Tell us a little about yourself! (details or get declined)
I'm a bay area aspiring makeup artist looking to add pinup and rockabilly photo shoots to my portfolio. I have some experience with bridal and prom. I'm willing to travel to Southern California, or Vegas area, if it means getting some exposure in a photshoot setting. I would also be interested in being someone's assistant or apprentice, to learn the ropes of the industry.I have little experience, but MUCH DRIVE!
How did you find PL? (Who referred you?, What site was the link on? What keywords did you search?) Be detailed, It helps us advertise and thank people!
Definitely take it slow!!! The biggest thing to remember is to lean and master the basics before doing anything avant garde or super creative. Try to use all natural colors, browns, creams taupe's etc.. once you master these you can easily apply the same fundamentals with color. I definitely see a lot of new artists wanting to jump into crazy colors but they haven't learned quality control yet. Also make sure to keep up your research on whats in trend and keep up your sanitation! Makeup classes are great to take at any level of being a professional. :))
Other then that just have fun and make it your own :)) keep in touch, I'd love to track your progress!
