Tell us a little about yourself! (details or get declined): Hello everyone, I'm new here and thought I'd introduce myself to you all! My name is Alex, I'm from Birmingham in England and I have just started my own business specialising in vintage pin-up photography with a difference. I'm not trying to start any old photography company but a fine-art studio. I paint all of my photographs to look just like oil paintings in the style of the old masters of pin up, like Gil Elvgren, Billy De Vorss and Rolf Armstrong.

We are called Cupcakes and Corsets and have a facebook page should you wish to have a closer look at our work!
I hope you have a look and enjoy my paintings! I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you and become more involved in the pin-up scene as I have always been fascinated by Pin-Up!

Hey thanks, Cupcakes! I do use Photoshop but it's CS2 heheh.. I also use Painter 10. I'll use them in tandem with one another since they both have their benefits. Your work is great! Thanks so much for the compliment, will be adding more doodles as I go. Are you using a Cintiq or kicking it old school with the Wacom tablet?

Yeah I have a Cintiq at home and at work.. once I started using it at my last job there was no going back for me. Most of the stuff I do is just for fun that way I have the creative freedom to do whatever I want. I am gonna start doing more traditional paintings soon (with real paint). lol I like working digitally but I miss getting my hands dirty.
