Tell us a little about yourself! (details or get declined)
I have more of a 1920s look, which makes it a bit hard to get any pin up work. But when I was in high school, I obsessed over silent films, Louise Brooks and Theda Bara. I think the 20s are so unappreciated. The style, the cars, the music! Don't get me wrong, I simply ADORE the 40s and 50s, but ya gotta give it up to the flappers who opened up the doors for modern women! :)
How did you find PL? (Who referred you?, What site was the link on? What keywords did you search?) Be detailed, It helps us advertise and thank people!
Now that is my kind of picture.
The first time I ever saw her, TCM was playing The Show Off years ago. I was surfing past and watched a bit.
My first thought was that they were doing the thing where they take modern footage of a current actress and cut it in with old footage. She was just so much radiant than anyone else on screen. Then I watched a little more and realized that she was the real deal. Been hooked ever since.
Wonderwoman? Wow that's a hell of a compliment. Truth is I get bored easily, so I have to stay busy...

Yeah,,, Sepia tone shot's or the old silver ( platinum ) look I really Like and love to convert my stuff to. If you'd ever like to shoot an flapper series hit me up !!! Have a good weekend Doll....
It is pretty rare for TCM to run her stuff. They'll run like three of her movies and the looking for lulu doc all in a row, and then nothing for years.
Certainly, the films she did with GW Pabst "made her", but they are just so depressing and dark. For me, it's when she smiles that does it.
I've never been able to find the canary murders one. And I've only seen excerpts from it.
She was definitely a bright spark...
I just love reading Filmmonkey's comments. They are always well thought out and informative. How does one follow that? So, I'm here to simply say, welcome to PL! There are so many different styles and people here, it's hard not to get completely addicted!
Okay, I'm blushing from Raven Foxx's comments...
It was fun watching the youtube clip. It's been so long since I've watched any of her stuff.
I can't remember the bio I read. I'll have to dig through my books to see if I still have it.
Her bob was definitely part of her. Tame by today's standards, but a real statement back in the day.
In a lot of ways I think she was her own worse enemy. She was definitely fiery but I don't know that she knew how to pick her battles well. In many ways Clara Bow was, I think, as mercurial, but able to keep things together a little better. (but not much...)
She really was a hell of dame. And she shares the number one spot in my list of the most beautiful women to ever grace the silever screen. The other one is Cyd Charisse, but that's a topic for another day...
Hey! I've been so busy with work that I rarely get a chance to send comments to my friends, who I miss terribly! So here is a blanket comment update. I did a photoshoot last week, and I'm waiting for the edits so I can post them here on PL. I can't wait! I love them! Going on a ride with my husband's car club this Saturday to Palm Springs and celebrating my birthday at Bar Sinister next Saturday. If you're in the SoCal area and you'd like to join us for my birthday, drop me a comment/message and I'll get you the information! It would be great to celebrate with you. Have a great weekend and remember to always live life to the fullest!
Doin' well. Am starting a marketing push to try and drum up more business.
I just put a couple of Buster Keaton fliks into the blockbuster queue. I haven't really seen any of his stuff but I was watching a doc on comedy and his stuff looked really cool.
I'll let you know.
