Hi there! My name is Sable Sin Cyr and I'm a burlesque performer and pin-up model from Mobtown, MD. I'm also a proud co-founder of Baltimore's one and only burlesque troupe- Gilded Lily Burlesque! As a result (and out of necessity), I've become a director, music editor, graphic designer and costume designer- as well as a performer. If you're into DIY- burlesque is the hobby for you! ;)

I grew up immersed in genuine "vintage lifestyle"- in other words, I spent WAY too much time with my grand and great grandparents! I was always listening to records on the Victrola or Sophie Tucker on the reel-to-reel, playing in antique Mack trucks or just rooting through the attic and picking my grandparents brains. The first song I can remember hearing in my life is Minnie the Moocher by Cab Calloway. (Can I get a hidey ho?!?) Not a bad start, if you ask me...

Anyway, since then I've grown up ( a bit) and gotten a degree in Theater Arts. And luckily, I've found a way to incorporate my two loves- theater and times gone by- behind the camera and onstage.

I feel personally that I do not have the type of face that does the sultry sex kitten look very well and because of that I have questioned my ability to pull off the pin up look I want. But your pictures inspire me. You've shown me that even some one with soft feminine features can still have that powerful look.
