I am suffering a pin up drought! After the glorious Polly set the bar very high, it has been difficult finding any local(ish) girls of similar quality. Otherwise, things are 'interesting'. When are we going to see some more additions to your portfolio? The wait is unbearable! xx

It is always difficult relying on friends. If you follow the advice I gave you on your discussion, you should find a host of willing togs. Just be strict in your selection process to get the tog with the best skills.

I think the problem is that because pin up is such a niche in the UK only a handful of girls have really succeeded in carving out a career. Along with alternative models, most end up having to accept mainstream assignments to ensure a steady flow of work. There are a few clothing sites that offer regular work for pin up models but these are highly prized and much sought after. xx

Other sites to get your portfolio on are Model Mayhem and Purestorm. The best way to get noticed is to develop a really high quality portfolio. The problem with online stuff is that it is marginalised so doesnt always get seen by the influencers.

It is easy to make the wrong choices and be swayed by smooth talking togs, so remember to be true to what you want. Be prepared to say no to a particular tog because they will be falling over themselves to help. Always check their work and references thoroughly. You may also want to learn how to do your hair (victory rolls, pin curls etc) and make up yourself as few togs go to the expense of hiring a MUA and often even they cant get the look right.

There is a very good vintage hair book for sale on the Pin Up Parade site which may provide solutions for working with long hair. Old Tony has it easy, not only does he attract models, they pay him for the priviledge! Fortunately he isnt the only cat in the alley! xx

Well check out those sites and you will find some fab togs although you will need to be strict to ensure they achieve the pin up look you want. You should find that most will pay you. You may have to grow those layers out or buy a wig! xx

yeah i go to a car show up here called fins and chrome its amaizng be the 3rd year running i'm there lol
we go to a weekend called pikerin its a war re-enactment weekend its amazing the little town its held in is so authentic we loved going!
